When I started working with DTF Canada, a Canadian Shopify eCommerce brand, they were generating very few sales from organic traffic and relied mostly on word of mouth and referrals. My goal was to build a long-term, organic growth system that consistently drives high-intent visitors.
Challenge
DTF Canada wanted to increase visibility and sales for DTF printing machines and supplies. However, Shopify’s limited SEO flexibility restricted major code-level optimisations.
Goals:
- Improve organic traffic and search visibility
- Generate consistent inbound leads and product inquiries
- Strengthen category-level rankings for competitive keywords
Strategy
I began with a complete on-page and technical audit to uncover SEO gaps. I identified indexation issues, duplicate product tags, and missing internal links that were blocking visibility.
Next, I developed a data-driven content and keyword plan focused on transactional search terms with purchase intent, while supporting them with informational resources that funnelled readers to product pages.
Execution
- Optimised meta titles, product pages, and collections for primary and secondary keywords
- Fixed canonicalisation and structured data issues for better SERP representation
- Improved page speed, image optimisation, and UX for higher engagement
- Built topical authority with internal linking and relevant backlinks
- Used Google Analytics and GSC data to track improvements and adjust content direction monthly
